BABYLON THE GREAT CITY: THE PSEUDO-CHURCH & MOTHER OF ALL FALSE RELIGIONS (REVELATION 17 & 18)

1 “One of the seven angels who had poured out the seven bowls came over and spoke to me. ‘Come with me,’ he said, ‘and I will show you the judgment that is going to come on the great prostitute, who sits on many waters.                                                                                                                  2 The rulers of the world have had immoral relations with her, and the people who belong to this world have been made drunk by the wine of her immorality.’

3 So the angel took me in spirit into the wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that had seven heads and ten horns, written all over with blasphemies against God.                                                                                                                                                                   4 The woman wore purple and scarlet clothing and beautiful jewellery made of gold and precious gems and pearls. She held in her hand a gold goblet full of obscenities and the impurities of her immorality.                                                                                                                                            5 A mysterious name was written on her forehead: ‘Babylon the Great, Mother of All Prostitutes and Obscenities in the World.’                                                                                                                      6 I could see that she was drunk—drunk with the blood of God’s holy people who were witnesses for Jesus. I stared at her completely amazed”                                                                              Revelation 17: 1 – 6.

The Interpretations (Revelation 17: 7 – 18):

1.      7 HEADS    = 7 Mountains

              &          = 7 Kings

10 HORNS         = 10 Kings

·         7 Mountains = Region of ROME (Incorporating Vatican City) built on 7 Hills.

·         7 Kings + an 8^th originally part of 7^th = i.e. the Anti-Christ, the last satanic inspired and propped Emperor.

·         10 Horns = The last 10 Global Powers on Earth i.e. the Cabal behind Anti-Christ.

2.      GREAT HARLOT = WOMAN = GREAT CITY = VATICAN (The only tiny religious enclave in the world with status of a country).

3.      MANY WATERS = Peoples, Tribes, & Nations = Roman Catholics et al.

Further Interpretations:

Ø  GREAT HARLOT SEATED UPON MANY WATERS = A WOMAN SEATED UPON SCARLET BEAST WITH BLASPHEMOUS NAMES, 7 HEADS, 10 HORNS.

Ø  THE WOMAN’S (SPIRITUAL) NAME: IS BABYLON THE GREAT, MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF EARTH’S ABOMINATIONS.

Ø  THE WOMAN IS DRUNK WITH BLOOD OF SAINTS AND MARTYRS OF JESUS CHRIST.

Ø  THE WOMAN IS ARRAYED IN PURPLE AND SCARLET, GOLD, JEWELS, PEARLS AND WITH CUP FULL OF ABOMINATIONS AND IMPURITIES OF HER FORNICATION.

Ø  THE WOMAN: IS THE GREAT CITY WHICH HAS DOMINION OVER KINGS OF THE EARTH.

Ø  BABYLON THE GREAT CITY: AND IN HER WAS FOUND THE BLOOD OF PROPHETS AND OF SAINTS, AND OF ALL WHO HAVE BEEN SLAIN ON EARTH.

Her Destruction:

Revelation 14: 8; 16: 17 – 21; 18: 1 – 24. The 10 Horns and the Beast will do God’s bidding and eventually destroy the Harlot or the Woman or the Great City (Rev. 17: 16 – 17).

The Great Rescue:

Revelation 18: 4 – 5. Prior to Babylon’s destruction God by His Servants will call out those who sincerely but erroneously believed they were serving and worshipping the true God in His approved Church et al. Those who obey will be saved, those who refuse to hearken will be condemned (Rev. 14: 6 – 7).

WHO IS BABYLON?

Babylon is the false Religious and Confusion (Babel, first started by Nimrod, the great Hunter who rebelled against God) system instituted on Earth by Satan to derail many and cause their error and destruction.

1.      ROME of ITALY: BABYLON THE GREAT CITY

               ROME: The bastion of the Roman Catholic establishment. Religious capital of the   

               world having influence and control over Leaders, Peoples and Nations. That is, the

               many waters that equals peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues.

2.      “...For thy Merchants were the Great Men of the Earth, and Nations were deceived by thy Sorcery (or witchcraft manipulation and domination)” Rev. 18: 23.

The peoples here in Revelation 18: 3, 9, 11, 15, 17, 22 are interpreted to be the Princes, Movers and Shakers of Earth:

·         The Kings of the earth.

·         The Merchants of the Earth.

·         The Shipmasters, Seafaring men, Sailors and all Traders.

·         Harpers, Minstrels, Flute players, Trumpeters and Craftsman of any craft.

They all lament, bewail and mourn CATHOLIC ROME’S destruction. God will soon take vengeance on Babylon and expend His fury on the false and faithless wicked of the earth. COME OUT FROM HER BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
