THE CHURCH IN THE TIME OF THE ‘BEAST FROM THE SEA’

Bro. Abduyusuf Rufa'i

The Bible in the teachings of Jesus Christ and in the prophecies or revelations of the Prophets reveal that three (3) major things will happen to the Church and nay Christians or Saints when the ANTI-CHRIST, the Beast from the Sea government is enthroned and he takes his place to reign and rule the entire world. They are:
1.       The Anti-Christ will war against the Church and the Bible says, “He will wear out the Saints of the Most High” or “He will be allowed to make war on the Saints and to conquer them.”
2.       In spite of the Anti-Christ barrage on the Church and fury on Christians, the greatest haul in human history of souls into the Kingdom of God will occur then. It is called THE GREAT GLOBAL HARVEST.
3.       The two happenstances above will actually discipline, humble and prepare the Church of God for her RAPTURE or take off or air lift to the air immediately after the Great Tribulation comes to an end and prior to the WAR OF ARMAGEDDON when Jesus Christ returns visibly and in glory in company of His angels and wait for it – The Saints who raptured not long ago. The Bible calls them: THE CALLED AND CHOSEN AND FAITHFUL (Rev. 17: 14) and THE ARMIES OF HEAVEN (Rev. 19: 14, 19).
By then the CHURCH of Jesus Christ will be called THE ELECT which will comprise of JEWS and GENTILES. They are the SAINTS or CHRISTIANS of that era. Please reader be warned that this era is not in the distant future, as a matter of fact it is already at the entrance of the city gate; if you understand what I mean. So be Armed, Prepared and Ready. This era is a period of SACKCLOTH – mourning, sobriety, alertness, retrospection and lamentation for the body of Christ (Rev. 11:3, Matt. 24: 21 – 22, Joel 2: 2, Dan. 12:1).
By then also a divinely ordained leadership of the Church will emerge and be led by THE TWO WITNESSES or PROPHETS of God whose ministry is a SACKCLOTH ministry. Their global ministry will elicit mass repentance and be a torn in the flesh and judgement to the Anti-Christ and his followers. One of these two witnesses is a black African and the other is a Caucasian (Rev. 11: 3, Zech. 4: 3, 11 – 14). Because all of these happen in quick succession, the Church of Jesus Christ will be forced to react in the following ways:
a.       Endure persecution
b.      Unify in love and humility
c.       Judge and purify herself
d.      Work, work, work and witness, witness, witness in great power and manifestations of the Holy Spirit
The ministry of the special messengers of God, that is, the two witnesses or prophets will last exactly the same period the Beast from the Sea is given authority by the Dragon to trouble the earth in the last half of his seven years rule or reign (2 Witnesses: Rev. 11: 3; Anti-Christ: Dan. 7: 25; 9: 27,         Rev. 12: 3 – 6; 13: 1 – 8).
The finishing of the ministry of these special messengers will signal the close of the Church age on earth. The manner these two Men of God are summoned to heaven is the same way the Church of Jesus Christ will be summoned. It is called the Rapture or First Resurrection (Rev. 11: 3, 7, 11 – 12).
